Lucasfilm anuncia el estreno de los episodios VII, VIII y IX a partir de 2015

Como parte del anuncio de la venta de Lucasfilm hecho por George Lucas y Kathleen Kennedy también se ha anunciado el plan de realizar la tan ansiada nueva trilogía de Star Wars, episodios VII, VIII y IX prevista para 2012. Este sería sólo el primer paso de los nuevos proyectos sobre Star Wars que se desarrollarán en un futuro no muy lejano.

¿Cómo creéis que afectará todo esto al universo expandido? ¿Harán borrón y cuenta nueva o utilizarán la riqueza del universo expandido en estos nuevos proyectos?

George Lucas vende Lucasfilm a Disney

Tal como ya pasara con Marvel, Disney ha comprado Lucasfilm y George Lucas anuncia que habrá nuevas películas de Star Wars.

En palabras del propio Lucas: “Es hora de que Star Wars pase a una nueva generación de cineastas. Siempre he creído que Star Wars podría vivir más allá de mi persona, y pensé que era importante gestionar esta transición mientras sigo con vida.”
